September Updates and Sign Ups!

Aloha Parents!

I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend.  We have a lot happening this month, so I just wanted to share with you some of the highlights.  Please see the attached calendar for all of our events and weekly meetings.

St. Nick Project Fundraiser, This Saturday, 9am - 2pm:  In preparation for the St. Nick Project, our annual Christmas community service project, we will be fundraising the HIM’s Mental Health Conference this weekend.  We are in need of volunteers to prepare and sell food.  We hope you will join us in this effort where we will be providing simple lunch options such as hot dogs, chili, spam musubis.  Please sign up at youthfpchawaii.org/upcomingevents  (click on the "Youth St. Nick Fundraiser" link) so we know how many volunteers we have.

Summer Camp Hōʻike, September 16, 10:45am - 4pm:   During this year's summer camp, the students learned about being shaped by God through creating their own pōhaku, or poi pounder.  They spent hours during camp and following camp to craft their stone and make it their own.  We want to invite you and your family to join us for our hōʻike, where the students will be sharing their moʻolelo (stories) about their experience crafting their pōhaku and also how God crafted them in the process.  We will also share in blessing each stone and a Hawaiian food potluck.  Please sign up for a potluck dish! Link at youthfpchawaii.org/upcomingevents (click on "Summer Camp Hōʻike").  Even if your child didn’t come to Camp, bring a dish and your family to take part in this great experience!

Hope Restored Events:  There is a lot going on for Hope Restored this month. Hope Restored is our Youth Outreach Ministry that seeks to connect our love for Jesus with our community.  All youth are invited to be a part of this amazing team and can contact Aunty Cindy at (808)892-0701 for more details.  This month's events include singing at Ann Pearl on September 12 from 2pm-4pm, the Church Work Day on September 15 from 8am-12pm, and the Do Justice Event/Ann Pearl Event on September 29.  See our calendar (attached) for more details or visit our website at youthfpchawaii.org/hoperestored

Just a note, for those of you who are interested in attending Small Group on Wednesday, we are back at Aunty Karen Lee's house in Maunawili today.

We look forward to seeing you at our events.  Please contact me if you have any questions at (808)397-7797 or email us at youth@fpchawaii.org.

God Bless,
